U2

Craig: Yes we have secured our tickets to the concert of 2006, but as always in the crave household there is a story to tell.............

It started two weeks ago when we found out u2 would be making the journey down-under. As the ticket release date drew closer we decided we would have to queue early to get standing area tickets. Monday the 5th was also the plumbers picnic so Ave and myself were both able to line up. The alarm went off at 5:30am and I did take a long time to get ready but we were in the line by 6:15am. We were about 100 people back, not bad considering people had spent the night! (The photo shows the line, although many are sitting).
At 9am the doors opened and the line started to crawl, at first we didn't mind but when it turned 9:30 we started to worry. Then the bad news started, all the 'A' and 'B' reserve tickets were sold!! We were still 30 people back and the line was moving even slower. It turned 10am and we were still 10 people back, more bad news all the standing and 'C' reserve tickets were SOLD and few 'D' reserve tickets remained(We didn't line up for 'D' reserve tickets but at this stage they would do). The next ten people in front of us were all getting single tickets we had almost given up hope, finally we were at the desk. Any tickets will do we said, the answer was at this stage there are no tickets we are just waiting for internet applications to fall through so we can pass them on to you. Another agonising 5 mins and it happened, two tickets in standing area.......DONE
